Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree,
You’ll ever be unchanging!
A symbol of goodwill and love
You’ll ever be unchanging
I’ve pretty much been humming this song all day! Jolly ol’ me. Today really felt like Christmas. I slept in, woke up, heard noises outside, walked out and saw David setting up a Christmas tree! My eyes widened…it was like seeing Santa and wondering if it’s real. Needless to say, I was so happy :). Four years ago, he made me a mini photo tabletop tree. Now, those special ornaments are hanging on a real big tree. Talk about upgrades. Both of us haven’t had a Christmas tree since we were kids, and even then, it was a fake one. Smelling the fresh fragrance of the tree in our home brings all the warm and fuzzies. There’s already new meaning to this wonderful holiday season. T’is the beginning of another tradition too – time to collect more ornaments now for years to come! Here’s to many sentimental nights of couch-bumming with apple cider, fleece blankets and love.
P.S. Happy one year anniversary to the first time I’ve ever stepped foot in Boise!
